The ‘Pact4Youth‘ project, co-funded by Erasmus+, has achieved important milestones in training, communication and sectoral impact. With more than 12 million views on networks and nearly 300 young people informed through its ‘practical workshops in construction’ organised in Spain, Greece, Italy and Cyprus.
Technical and training impact
One of Pact4Youth’s main achievements has been reaching nearly 300 young people through twenty practical events, providing them with first-hand insight into the activities of the construction sector.
Additionally, the project has successfully engaged more than 300 SMEs through training sessions, equipping them with practical tools to facilitate the integration of apprentices. Training has been a key element in this process, with masterclasses focusing on promoting innovation in the sector, covering topics such as robotics, 3D printing, sustainability, and digitalisation.
Additionally, 8 practical tools and a Youth Employability Roadmap have been developed, based on 10 proposals and 31 operational measures, with the support of more than 100 key industry representatives.
Communication and visibility impact
Pact4Youth has implemented an effective communication strategy to enhance the sector’s image and attract young people. Social media has been a key pillar, achieving over 12 million views on TikTok and exceeding 955,000 views on Instagram.
The project’s dissemination has been strengthened with 21 media appearances, the launch of targeted campaigns, and the publication of inspiring testimonials from industry professionals. The official project website, available in five languages, has recorded over 12,700 visits, establishing itself as a key information hub in Europe.
Key events and international reach
Pact4Youth has received strong institutional and business support, organising information sessions in each consortium country, with 180 attendees participating. Additionally, the project was promoted at events organised by other institutions, where its results were presented, and the need to improve employability in the sector -making it more attractive to young people- was discussed.
An important milestone was the transnational event in Brussels, organised at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), which brought together a hundred participants in a high-level forum to discuss talent attraction strategies.
A forward-looking project
The results obtained by Pact4Youth demonstrate the positive impact of the initiative on youth employability in constructionthanks to co-funding from the European Commission and its alignment with the objectives pursued by the Pact for Skills in Construction. With a combination of specialised training, communication strategies and collaboration between key actors in the sector, the project is positioned as a reference model for future initiatives in Europe.
