The Erasmus+ project focuses on building a foundation for youth employability in the construction sector through results that improve the image of the industry and attract more young people.

The #Pact4Skills project supports the Pact for Skills in the construction sector that seeks to support a fair and lasting recovery that actively contributes to the ecological and digital transition, among others, which requires concrete commitments from social partners (sectoral and training or qualification), public and private, to invest in quality vocational training, knowledge and skills that benefit construction workers.

In line with this qualification objective, the Pact establishes five key principles, of which it is the fourth that the #Pact4Skills project aims to address: “Attract more young people and women to the sector”.

To achieve this pillar of the Skills Pact, the consortium members (from Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus) will develop a global strategy for the qualification and employability of young people, through various actions including:

  • Public-private working groups to boost employability
  • Communication campaigns on employment in construction aimed at SMEs and young people.
  • Events on sectorial innovation aimed at SMEs.
  • Practical training sessions with sectorial activities aimed at young people.
