·

Organised by PEDMEDE and U-Studies, the event showcased key initiatives like the Roadmap and Action Plan to boost youth employability.

On 25th and 27th April 2024, Athens hosted the Pact4Youth Info-days, organised by PEDMEDE and U-Studies, attracting over 80 attendees, including construction professionals, students, and government representatives.

The first event took place during PEDMEDE’s Annual General Assembly, a key gathering for the construction sector, where Konstantinos Gkoliopoulos, the organisation’s president, introduced the project’s initiatives aimed at making the industry more attractive to younger generations.

The second event was held at U-Studies’ premises, bringing together 30 students and trainers keen to learn about the opportunities the project offers for enhancing youth employability in construction. Key tools such as the Roadmap and Action Plan were presented, developed in collaboration with vocational training providers, companies, and trade unions.

The event concluded with an invitation for attendees to get involved through the endorsement form and future project activities. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the project’s relevance both nationally and at a European level.
