The project Foundations for Employment ‘Generation Change’.carried out by the Fundaci贸n Laboral de la Construcci贸n and financed by the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 of Spain, aims to insert into the labor market in a stable way qualified professionals in building rehabilitation and urban regeneration works, aligning ourselves with the strategic lines marked by the ‘Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan’ and the ‘Sustainable Development Strategy’.
Within the framework of this project, the Fundaci贸n Laboral de la Construcci贸n has launched a wide range of resources to train transversal competencies focused on job placement and vocational orientation from a sectorial perspective.
The development of these resources is based on a combined methodological approach, where different models interact and are adapted to the different stages of transition to employment and from a sectoral perspective:
- The pedagogical model, emphasizing the active and inclusive learning process. .
- The organizational psychology model, developing key competencies and skills.
- The positive psychology model, through attitudes, aptitudes, expectations and motivations for employment.
- The informational model, both sector and environmental resources. orno.
- The motivational model, in relation to achievement and autonomy towards the attainment of a life project.
| Guidance through transversal competency training | Tools aimed at employment counselors in the sector. Designed from a participatory perspective, focusing on individual integration in the group and the experiential aspect of concepts such as: self-knowledge, self-esteem, communication or gender stereotypes and roles. |
| Job Portal | Jobbuilding.com. This platform is aimed at both companies and individuals seeking employment in the construction sector It publishes up to 600 active job offers per month, verified in accordance with the General Agreement of the Construction Sector and managed by specialized career counselors |
| Managing emotions during the job search | Materials that help unemployed people to adequately manage disturbing emotions in order to reinforce self-esteem and to undertake the entry into the labor market with guarantees. They include: a user’s guide, cards, posters, audios and a personal workbook for the participants. |
| Sectoral training for career counselors | This tool focuses on training counselors in the challenges, novelties, barriers and actions for the incorporation of labor in the construction sector, as well as in aspects related to the process of labor orientation and intermediation. |
