Formedil, in the framework of the Erasmus+ project ‘Pact4Youth’, organised a series of seminars for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the sector at the Saie construction fair in Bologna.

The seminars took place during the month of October and focused on the latest technological innovations. The main topics covered in the different masterclasses focused on: digital construction, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 3D printing.

The event, which brought together industry experts and professionals, offered SMEs a unique platform to learn about the latest digital trends and tools that are transforming the industry. The seminars were designed to help companies understand how to incorporate these emerging technologies into their processes: improving efficiency, reducing costs and promoting sustainability.

Emphasis was placed on the use of Artificial Intelligence, as it enables the optimisation of design, planning and project management, reducing risk and improving accuracy on construction sites. Also, the potential of 3D printing in construction was demonstrated to revolutionise the way structures and components are manufactured, offering faster and more customised solutions.

Digital construction was also an important focus, with presentations on Building Information Modelling (BIM), a methodology that allows projects to be managed more efficiently through digitisation from design to operation and maintenance of the building.

These seminars were key for SMEs in the sector to get up to speed with the digital tools and innovations that are redefining the construction landscape, allowing them to adapt to an increasingly digitalised and technological environment.

Moreover, by integrating technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and 3D printing, the construction sector is now presented as an innovative and dynamic field, making it more attractive to young professionals looking to develop their careers with more technological and sustainable approaches. It not only improves competitiveness, but also opens up new opportunities to attract young talent to construction.

Formedil is committed to the continuous training of construction professionals, promoting the incorporation of advanced technologies that improve the competitiveness and sustainability of the construction industry in Italy.
