One hundred young people from the 3rd and 4th years of secondary school in Palma de Mallorca took part today in the Open Day for Education: “Awaken your vocation”, organised by Fundaci贸n Laboral de la Construcci贸n of the Balearic Islands, at its headquarters and Training Centre in Palma.
The event lasted four hours, during which the students were able to tour the centre’s facilities with interactive stops on Health and Safety, Technological Innovation, Construction Machinery, Work Orientation and Traditional Sustainable Construction; they were also able to try out different construction trades.
During the Open Day, a competition was held where young people were able to demonstrate their knowledge of the sector through questions about the activities carried out during the day, which concluded with the awarding of prizes to the most outstanding.
This is the second open day that Fundaci贸n Laboral de la Construcci贸n of the Balearic Islands is holding in Palma, aimed specifically at young people from the island. The first edition was held on 17 February 2023 and its organisers hope that “it will become an annual event to be repeated in 2025”.
